Backstreets Back! AGAIN! (Album Release July 30 2013)

New BSB ALBUM!?!?!...uhmmm YES PLEASE! This has to be every 90's kids guilty pleasure! And if you are hiding in your room listening to this band on headphones or blasting it in your car and singing at the top of your lungs you have stood the test of time with this band! This year is the 20year anniversary of their debut album and they have not disappointed their fans. Sure they had their moment of hiatus when it was frowned upon to listen to them and you were ridiculed in middle school for liking their music BUT THEY CAME BACK! AGAIN!
The Backstreet Boys have been through it all and still held strong. From lip sync scandals and lawsuits to Brians heart surgery,  AJ's rehab and eventually Kevins departure they have stuck through it.
Sure there have been some long breaks between albums but for me I'd rather anticipate new music than expect it. I'm ok to have a year or two go by then get that happy surprise when a new single comes out rather than every 6 months we have a new album... it's more fun that way! (And if you are a Backstreet fan, you know the meaning of being patient!)
Their new album "In A World Like This" brings back a beloved member! Kevin! (Speaking from opinion he was always my favorite and I -as were many fans - was heartbroken when he left) This brings the group back to its original sound!
The album is fresh and fun! Same wonderful harmonies that made this fivesome shine but its not the sound that we heard in Backstreets Back. The album isn't intended for the "Screaming teenager" audience as their first few albums were. The band has grown and so has their music! And truthfully... so have their fans. There probably wont be many 12 year old girls running to the music store to buy this album but the 20 somethings will be. It was the band of our childhood that never left us! The sound has changed but is still unique to the group.So whether you are a secret fan or an eccentric one take a listen to the new single! They promised us as fans that "As long as there be music we'll be coming back again" and they have not disappointed us!

Blow Me One Last Kiss
One of my favorite artists that I have listened to most of my life has to be P!nk. I have always loved her upfront say what she wants style! She says what she wants when she wants and she doesn't care who hears it! From her early days she has always spoken her mind.
Her most recent album "The Truth About Love" debuts a song that really speaks her mind. "Blow Me (one last kiss)" is a reflection of a failed relationship that she is really getting rid of. Parallel to Taylor Swifts "We are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" this is a song that states clearly "ITS OVER!" Musicians are that special breed of artist that will personalize songs and as sad as it is to see relationships fail sometimes the best songs come out of the anger and pain that is brought on.
Pink has made a great statement in many of her songs about breakups "So What" is another example.

"I will do what I please anything that I want" that's her style no matter what is going on she can take control. I love this song! She does a great job of harnessing the mixed feelings and pan and how everything seems to "hit the fan" when something like a relationship goes down the drain. She has the edgy way of doing it that makes her so unique. Throughout her albums she has stuck to her guns in her personal style and idea of what her sound is.

This song was met with great praise by the media and fans and for good reason. The song is the style and genre that people listen too these days. Its dance but still pop. That's something that I admire about Pink as an artist. She has stayed true to herself and what she wants in her songs but has still been capable of keeping up with what people want without selling out to media.

All in all Blow Me is a terrific hit single for Pink and I can see many more from the "Truth About Love" Album being popular over the next year. Her latest "Try" is already climbing the charts and it wont be long until a third single is released!

New And Full Of Ideas!

Hello to all  the readers and listeners out there! I have formed this blog to throw my ideas to the world! I am a huge fan of music of various genres and I have decided to create this blog to start a page of my thoughts and ideas of new music, old music, classic music and everything in between! I will have lots of themes going for discussion points.
This blog is going to be about opening eyes to new ideas about music and songs and writing. Musicians and their transformations through the industry and how they have affected the music industry.
I am not looking to change the worlds view of music but to inspire, intrigue, and get some people thinking about things.
